25 Years of BAUER Cutter Technology in Italy

The success story of BAUER trench wall cutters in Italy began in 2001 with the use of a BAUER BC 40 on a BS 6100 and a BC 30 on a BS 670 at the Turin railway junction.

Particularly remarkable: The BC 40 on the BS 6100 is still in operation today at our long-standing customer FONDAMENTA and continues to be supported by BAUER Macchine Italia with service and spare parts. Earlier this year, FONDAMENTA also took delivery of a new BAUER cutter system.

Over the past 25 years, an estimated more than 1 million m² of diaphragm wall have been excavated in Italy using BAUER trench wall cutters. This impressive figure underlines the performance, reliability and long service life of BAUER technology.

A milestone worth celebrating at Geofluid in early October, where the new BCS 185 power pack with electric power pack will be presented. It combines 25 years of experience with the next generation of BAUER cutter technology.
